Pairing Midimo with other Apps

System Requirements:

​

  • Midimo requires an iOS device running iOS 14.3 or newer

​

  • Pairing Midimo with Bluetooth requires either an iOS device running iOS 14.3, or a Mac computer running Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10) or newer

FL Studio Mobile on iOS

  1. Tap “Settings” in FL Studio Mobile

  2. Tap “Manage Bluetooth MIDI Devices”

  3. Tap the name of your device

  4. Tap the “Pair” button on both your device running FL Studio Mobile, and your device running Midimo

  5. Choose your device name, or “Any available” to enable MIDI mapping

  6. Move a control you’d like to map in FL Studio Mobile

  7. Tap “CTRL” beside the transport controls

  8. Tap “Link to MIDI CC”

  9. Set your sensitivity to 1 for the axis you are mapping

  10. In Midimo, solo or enable the axis (e.g. Roll, Tilt, Pan)you wish to use for control

  11. Move your device

  12. To map additional parameters do the following:

    1. Mute all axis outputs in Midimo​

    2. Follow steps 6 through 10 to map additional parameters

  13. You have now mapped Midimo to FL Studio Mobile

Synth One iOS

Pair with Synth One on iOS

  1. Tap the Bluetooth button above the left-hand side of the keyboard

  2. On Midimo go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn on 'Advertise MIDI Service' (note: once connected Midimo will display the name of the device it is connected to and the message 'Advertising disabled')

  3. On Synth One, select your Bluetooth device to connect

  4. Tap “MIDI Learn” Above the middle of the keyboard

  5. Tap the parameter you wish to map

  6. Set your sensitivity to 1 for the axis you are mapping

  7. In Midimo, solo or enable the axis (e.g. Roll, Tilt, Pan) you wish to use for control

  8. Move your device

  9. To map additional parameters do the following:

    1. Exit mapping mode

    2. Mute all axis outputs in Midimo

    3. Follow steps 4 through7 to map additional parameters

  10. Tap “MIDI Learn” again to exit MIDI mapping mode

  11. You can now use Midimo to control Synth One!

Nanostudio 2

Pair with Nanostudio 2 on iOS

  1. From the main screen in Nanostudio 2, tap the “Settings” menu item on the left

  2. Tap “MIDI” to open the MIDI I/O menu

  3. Tap “Bluetooth” to bring up the Bluetooth MIDI Device Menu

  4. Tap the name of your Midimo device to connect

  5. Tap the Mixer button (3 vertical lines with horizontal bars icon) at the top left to bring up the Mixer

  6. Double-tap the name of the mixer channel that contains the instrument you’d like to control

  7. In the “MIDI CONTROLLER MAP” view on the right hand side, tap “Learn” on the control you wish to map. Nanostudio 2 only allows you to map specific parameters found in this view

  8. Set your sensitivity to 1 for the axis you are mapping

  9. In Midimo, solo or enable the axis you wish to use for control

  10. Move your device

  11. You should now see a number in the 2nd column

  12. To map additional parameters do the following:

    1. Mute all axis outputs in Midimo

    2. Follow steps 7 through 9 to map additional parameters

  13. You can now use Midimo to control Nanostudio 2 on your iOS device!

Djay Pro AI

Pair with Djay Pro AI

  1. Tap the Djay Pro logo at the top of the screen

  2. Tap the cog icon to open settings

  3. Tap “MIDI Devices” to open the MIDI device settings

  4. Tap “Bluetooth MIDI Devices” to open the Bluetooth device menu

  5. Tap the name of your Midimo device to connect

  6. Tap the back button labeled “MIDI Devices”

  7. Under “MIDI DEVICES”, tap the name of your device

  8. In Midimo, solo or enable the axis you wish to use for control

  9. Move your device

  10. You will now see an entry for that axis appear

  11. Tap the CC # to open the mapping menu

  12. Under Target, choose the target section to map (Mixer, Deck 1 etc)

  13. Under Action choose the parameter you want to map

  14. Tap “Save” when you are done

  15. Repeat steps 8 through 13 to map additional parameters

  16. You can now use Midimo to control Djay Pro AI on your iOS device!
